Dirk Nowitzki ties #12 spot for most 3 pointers in NBA history


Dirk Nowitzki scored his 1830th career three pointer Wednesday night in Dallas to tie Chauncey Billups for 12th place all time in the NBA for three pointers.
On Monday night Nowitzki passed Kobe Bryant for the number 13 spot, and he is close to overtaking number 11 ranked J. R. Smith, who has 1833 career three pointers.

Nowitzki and the Mavs defeated the Pistons Monday night 110-93.


A couple of other notes:
-Dwight Powell played his 200th game for Dallas, he scored 9 points on the night
-Derek Harper will have his number retired on January 7th in Dallas
-The Pistons average 103 points, but were held to held it to 93 in the game
